Hard Blanket

Here, I am breaking the stereotype of what a blanket is supposed to be. This piece was created to portray the synergy between different elements. I fused the properties of plaster squares, rigidity, and cloth stitching, flexibility and warmth, to create a one-of-a-kind futuristic blanket. “Hard Blanket” symbolizes the people that form a society. As individuals, we may come with our flaws and cracked or broken spirits. Yet, when people come together to form bonds, these supportive relationships create a beautiful gradation that signifies the influence we have over one another, good or bad, to create one strong unit.
